“I knew it was love at first sight”
I just want to thank you for what you have done! A few months back I met the man of my dreams on your web site.
I never thought I would meet him online. We started to email each other back and forth, when I got an email from him saying he was interested. Never did I thik though that it would then turn out for us to be on the phone for hours evey night never wanting to hang up!
Well shortly after we talked, we decided to meet each other. I started to drive out twords his house – never with a worry in my mind – until I was sitting there waiting for him. As soon as he pulled up, though, I knew it was love at first sight and we would never part.
Well I was right! We spend every moment possible together and I would not change it for the world. We hope to move in together soon, and well soon after that, get married! He is my night in shining armor that I always dreamed about, but now I don’t have to, I have him all my own.
I hope he realizes how much he really means to me, that he is my one and only and I won’t ever let it be otherwise.
Thanks again GFENYC. We owe the world to you.
– Katie M.

“A triumph over distances, doubts, and heartbreaks”
I “stumbled” onto your the GFENYC.com website 2 1/2 years ago and with some encouragement from a few pals decided to post a quick profile of myself. Mind you, my self-esteem at that point of my life was at it’s lowest from a bitter breakup with an ex-boyfriend 7 months prior. My view of the opposite sex wasn’t the greatest, but I wasn’t going to give up all hope. Of course, I doubted anyone would really want to get to know me through some vague facts, but what the heck right? So, 2 weeks later I got 5 responses! “Not bad,” I told myself. After glancing at the first four responses, which didn’t spark my interest, I was about to give up…until I read Jason’s email. It was simple and to the point, but there was just something about his email that caught my attention. So, naturally, I responded to him with an email of my own, and the rest is basically history.
Many of my friends, even the ones who suggested I try this website, were skeptical at first that I’d actually “met” someone through the internet. But I think I was the most surprised one of all for a while. Jason and I started out as friends first, and eventually we began forming feelings for each other, even though we hadn’t met yet! Feeling very strongly with someone whom you’ve laid eyes on was very new to both of us, but we both couldn’t stop these emotions from happening.
We met after 3 months of emailing, instant messenging, and phone calls. I’ll never forget the nervousness I felt that whole day until the second he stepped off the plane and we gave each other assuring hugs. And ever since that day I still get that “butterflies-in-my-stomach” feeling whenever we see each other (which is about once every 2-4 months, me on the West coast and him on the East coast!).
Anyway, Jason is planning on moving West with me late spring next year, and we’re planning on getting married a year or 2 afterwards! Thank you, GFENYC.com for bringing this wonderful and amazing man into my life.
“Fate had arranged for us to meet through your site”
Several years ago, I was working at Microsoft and was tasked to research websites which met the design of the software I was working on. I opened a profile at GFENYC to see how things were laid out. About two years later a young lady opened a profile looking to meet the man of her dreams. Two years after that we met in a restaurant.
Today (Aug 4, 2001) she will become my bride. Several days ago (Aug 1, 2001) GFENYC.com sent me her profile as a possible match. Odd that if we hadn’t met when we did, fate had arranged for us to meet anyway through your site.
Congratulations on a very accurate Match Prediction system. I have to go to the church now, thank you.

***UPDATE: WE WERE MARRIED OCTOBER 4, 2001***
In the beginning of 2000 I started browsing through the pages of GFENYC.com, especially the photos of women seeking men. There are so many, which one to pick? I tried one of them by the name of Larissa from Russia. She answered within the week and we started emailing to each other with the help of a translator, as she reads and writes very little English. Out of the blue I mentioned: what are you going to do this summer? She replied: nothing much. So I mailed back: Come to Holland. And she said: YES.
On July 23 2000 Larissa, 35 from Severodvinsk in the very north of Russia, landed on Amsterdam Airport. And it was love at first sight! We kissed and hugged and walked away hand in hand as if we had known each other for years. The truth is that until then we had never seen each other, besides a bad looking photograph and a translated phonecall.
Larissa is my girl now and I expect her back before Christmas. We think about getting married and her settling down here in Holland. We are very much in LOVE.
So GFENYC.com, I owe this to you, we both do, because without your pages I would never have met this treasure.
We got married on October 4, 2001. A simple ceremony solely accompanied by our loveones. All of this was made possible through GFENYC.com by simply clicking on a photograph in the gallery ‘women seeking men’.
What is advertised is really true – you DO make romance happen!!!
– George and Larissa G.
“We are getting married on July 13th, 2002”
From the time I was a little girl, I always waited for that man on that white horse to sweep me off my feet. I was starting to lose hope so I tried GFENYC in hopes of meeting ‘a nice guy’.
To my surprise, I did, but he is so much more. He is my best friend, my love, and my partner for life. We are getting married on July 13th, 2002. He has made me happier than I’ve ever been and because of this, I’m thankful to you, GFENYC.com.
– Nadia R.
When I first joined GFENYC, I did so more for a joke than anything else. Perhaps I’d get lucky and make a few online connections, but I never thought anything ‘real’ or ‘lasting’ would develop.
Surprisingly, and this is something that I will be eternally greatful for, I did make a ‘real’ and ‘lasting’ connection on GFENYC.com. Simply put, I found my soulmate… the woman who makes me happy and who I know that I’ve always been looking for. We’ve been together now more than five months and are engaged to be married.
Thank you GFENYC.com. You’ve changed my life forever.
– Ronald M.
“GFENYC has made my dreams come true”
I have great news! Our baby girl, Miranda Gail Bravo, was born on June 23 at 1:18 a.m. She weighed 7lbs. 14oz. and is 19 1/2 inches long. Seeing her in my arms makes me complete. GFENYC has made my dreams come true by connecting me with the wonderful man who is now my husband, and for the beautiful blessing of the birth of our daughter. GFENYC has made this all possible! We feel very honored to think that you would like to feature our beautiful princess as the first GFENYC baby! Thanks again for thinking of us, we are all doing well and are very, very happy!
“We met through GFENYC and got married!”
I just wanted to write in and let you know about my experience with Dating Club! I believe it was January of last year when I posted my profile on your site to see if anyone interesting would “bite”.
Well, on February 12 – just two days before Valentine’s Day – a gentleman by the name of George B. wrote to me and I later found out (and received) a Valentine card that he had bought for me! We continued to write to each other and talk on the phone when a dozen white roses (my favorite!) arrived for me at my work (I have an automatic signature that I had forgotten about!) I hadn’t even met him face to face or even exchanged pictures with him!
We met for the first time face-to-face on February 26, 1999, fell in love, and got married on October 2, 1999 at Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas! Not only that, we are expecting a baby to arrive in July of this year! I wanted to share this wonderful success story with you, thank you and enter your contest! We owe our happiness and our soon to be family all to you!
With much gratitude,
“I met Mr. Right!”
I am no longer a member of GFENYC because a few months ago, I met Mr. Right!
Michael S. and I began corresponding through GFENYC, and met a month or so later. We quickly fell in love, and he recently asked me to marry him! The date is tentatively set for November 3rd, 2001.
Thank you, GFENYC!

****UPDATE: WE GOT MARRIED FEBRUARY 22, 2000***
“I want to thank you for sending me my angel”
Although I didn’t subscribe to a full membership, your web site introduced me to the man I am about to marry. He is the sweetest man I have ever know, and if we both hadn’t found your site, we would not have ever found eachother. I just wanted to thank you for this site. I am very much in love with Michael, and I just thought you would find it nice to hear our love story.
Mike and I met over your web site in early November. After a week or two we became very good friends. He knew that I was not looking for a relationship, and I knew he was, but in any event we made plans to meet for Thanksgiving. My curiosity and my feelings for him grew stronger by the day. So one day, after a bad day at work, I drove six hours to his town in Georgia. Boy was he suprised. We hit it off from the very beginning. I knew I was in love with him before I even met him (even though I really didn’t want to fall in love.) After a few days in Georgia, we came back down to Florida for our scheduled Thanksgiving feast. We were inseperable. And although we live over 350 miles away from eachother, we still are. Mike is in the military and is unable to move down here, so I’m moving up there mid-February. We are probably going to get married very soon, and, you know how the saying goes: once you stop looking, love finds you. I want to thank you for sending me my angel. I couldn’t have made a better man myself. I feel as though I’m the luckiest girl in the world for finding such a wonderful man. And it’s all thanks to you.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart,
“We were married on the 29th of February 2000 in Finland”
I think I have a very interesting successful story of GFENYC match.
Actually… Raija – my gorgeous stunning Finn gal whom I’ve met through the courtesy of GFENYC, is coming to live with me in Israel next month. It was a blitz of love fire, absolutely totally unexpectedly for both of us.
Raija and me, two mature experienced people, I (53) was married twice, Raija (46) once. Reasonable people — fall in love deeply, sincerely, strongly, gently, — in spite of the circumstances and provisions, in addition to the long distance (Finland versus Israel) and cross cultural differences between.
It started with a letter Raija sent me through GFENYC services, continued with unexpected meeting in a very romantic place – YMCA museum and coffee shop in Jerusalem (Israel) when she was on a business trip, few more meetings in Israel – and became hot in relatively very short term.
We have found mutual interests, respects, likes, dislikes, co-tolerance, deep caring for one another.
Last second: Raija asked me to add her letter to you as well, followed:
~~~~~~~~ RAIJA letter ~~~~~~~~
I agree with all my heart to AMI’s letter. We really have found wonderful love and it is a glorious feeling. Thanks for this opportunity to meet my AMI in GFENYC.
“We were married June 26, 1999”
On January 28, 1999, I answered an ad for Lady in Ft. Collins, Colorado. We talked on line for about a week and I gave her my phone number and she called me. We talked three times by phone in the next week, about three hours each time. I took her out to dinner that Friday night. As soon as I met her I knew she was the person I was looking for and the feeling was mutual. We were married June 26, 1999 and are very happy.
Your service does work thank you.
– Brian C.
I want to take this opportunity to thank the GFENYC for doing such a wonderful job in matching couples up. I met a very nice Christian lady through the dating service and have been very well satisfied and happy ever since. Prior to meeting, I was a very depressed man because of my past; but this lady has steered me in the right direction. We have been dating across the miles, long distance: she is from Michigan and I am from Wisconsin. We have visited each other a couple of times and plan on getting married shortly. She is a top saleslady in her field and I am a security officer with a top of the line security company, internationally.
Thanks again for helping so many copules come together for their happiness.
DUANE G. S.
Just want to let you know that the service worked and I am now married to a beautiful, energetic, young woman whom I met on your dating service.
“Hi My name is Trish and I met my now Fiance thru GFENYC.com”
Bored and frustrated one night I stumbled upon your web site. I decided what the heck and did the free offer. Then 6 to 8 weeks later I met my soulmate thru email. That was on Oct. 9th. We talked that week by email. Then by phone on that Friday night, we met in person at the shopping mall on October 17th and have been inseparable since. Our wedding is planned for May 5th. GFENYC.com has certainly changed my life and his. It is hard for me to imagine him not being a part of my life because we have so many things in common and share so much. I believe we have an open communicative relationship because we talked for that short week at least twice a day by email. And yes, we still email each other everyday from our jobs. It is a wonderful way to communicate. Hope we can enter this contest as the extra $1500 would make for a wonderful honeymoon!
I met my husband on the internet in November 1998 and we married on April 28, 1999. I was living in Tucson, Arizona at the time and he was living 80 miles away in Hereford, AZ.
Joan & Howard S.
Me and my fiance met on GFENYC and we intend to get married this summer.
“I met my romance on GFENYC and I just got married”
I would like to inform you that I met my romance on GFENYC and I just got married on 2 December in Singapore. My wedding dinner will be held on 24 December 1999 in Hong Kong. This Christmas Eve will be a memorable and wonderful day to my husband and me.
As GFENYC members, we would like to send our BIG THANKS to you. Without GFENYC, we would never met each other and let our story come true.
– Sharon & Patrick
“A God sent miracle”
My name is Eric. I do believe we have the success story of the year. In March I came across your web page by pure coincidence. I was browsing without any intention when I came upon your page. I filled in the profile page of myself and my ideal partner. I submitted it just as I was called away on other business. I had forgotten it completely.
About three weeks later I received this anonymous email through the GFENYC. It turned out Gail had only just received Internet on her computer and was also just browsing. It took me about three day to reply as I was very sceptical. I was fifty four years of age and had been living on my own for five years. The people I had met were either divorcees with a tremendous amount of baggage or widows who had not been able to let go of their late husbands. I myself had become suspicious of everyone’s intentions.
I replied anyway giving a brief description of myself not expecting to hear anymore. Lo and behold I received a reply a day later. This carried on with an email every couple of days. We then decided to exchange photographs. I am terribly camera shy to a point of neurosis. I received Gail`s and was completely shocked. The picture I saw was a replica of the mental picture I had when filling in the profile of my perfect partner. This uncanny similarities grew as we corresponded with each other with regard to our likes and dislikes. The list just grew and grew. One comes to mind. I remember saying that I dislike tomato soup. The answer I received was it was also one of her dislikes. These emails intensified to three a day. Not just short ones but many as much as three pages long.
The day came when it was time to meet each other face to face. I lived in Cape Town and Gail in George. I travelled up by Inter City bus sweating blood not knowing what to expect. If she would like me or me her.
Gail met me at the bus station. The moment we set eyes on each other everything just clicked together. Within twelve hours I had proposed to her and she had accepted. We were married on the 25th June 1999. I have since moved to George where we stay very happily. The whole episode was a God sent miracle with a lot of help from the GFENYC. We would like to thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
Thank You Once Again
Eric & Gail
“We are thrilled we have found each other”
I live in a rural state and have been divorced for over three years and have been looking for that special someone that I can share the rest of my life with. In February of this year, a friend of mine suggested I look at GFENYC. I spent one Sunday and browsed the “men looking for women” for the better part of the entire day.
I decided to join and send out a few annonymous messages to several different men. I was amazed that I got replies from all of them, even when I myself did not yet have a picture on GFENYC. I corresponded with several of these individuals.
One man lived in Florida — I live in Vermont. We exchanged photographs and after six months of corresponding via email we decided to meet. I flew to Florida to meet him and at the end of the week he proposed to me and gave me an engagement ring!
Corresponding in writing had allowed us to make our intellectual and emotional connections before we ever met. We have since flown back and forth several times, to be together. We have not yet set a date for getting married but are thrilled we have found each other. We are very grateful for GFENYC.
– Dawn D.
“Thanks to GFENYC.com, I met my new husband”My husband, Raafat now for 9 months met over the Internet. I had placed an ad in
GFENYC and he answered it. I had been a widow for nine years, and didn’t think I would ever find Mr.Right. But,thanks to the GFENYC.com, I met my new husband. I lived in Tacoma, Washington and he lived in New Jersey. I left everything behind, went to New Jersey in May of 1999, and was happily married in June 1999. It would not have happened if it wasn’t for GFENYC.
So, here is a BIG THANKS to the GFENYC, and keep up the GOOD WORK!!!
– Janice and Raafat G.
I met on this site a couple of months ago Victoria E. & now after many, many phone calls, emails, videos etc we hope to meet in Jan in Sarotov to make arrangements to get married.
“We just got engaged and will marry in August 2000!”
Hi. Lauren and I met last October (1999) through GFENYC.com! We just got engaged and will marry in August 2000!
-Steve and Lauren
Vanessa and Joe in Venezuela
Hi. I’ve being a member of GFENYC since January (approximately). My mom subscribed me because she was worried I didn’t have any boyfriend even being intelligent, striking, and with an excellent job.
Then I meet Joseph. While I was searching for a perfect match, his profile came to my screen with 100% and he was the only one on that resulting list. So I decided to email him Thursday night, he answer me next Friday morning, we ate lunch same Friday and we never being apart ever since.
We love each other. He loves my family, friends, and my little baby Valerie (1 year old). His family and friends are great…I can’t wait to be with him forever…look at him every morning and night, share his happiness and sadness, just be happy forever!
We both live in Venezuela, pretty close one from the other. But because of the political situation in our country, we are still looking for an apartment, and we’ll get marry as soon as we find were to live. We think on December!
I am an Assistant Administrator, 25 years old, single, my name is Vanessa Meneses.
He is a Tennis Instructor, 24 years old, divorce, his name is Joseph Diaz.
The funny side of this story is that he never joined GFENYC. It was one of his friends who subscribed him too.
Thanks to GFENYC, his friends and mine, for playing such a great Cupid. He’s the man of my dreams!!
“I met a man that I am falling in love with, and I have you to thank for it”
I think your chat line is the best on the net! I met a man that I am falling in love with, and I have you to thank for it. So, this is how I show my thanks: me and Joe are getting married in June, and we would love it if anyone on the net would like to
attend. So,please, if you find someone on the net, don’t be afraid to follow your insttinct. Otherwise, you might let that special someone – that one and only – get away.
